MV Obsession

My obsession with Martha's Vineyard.. phototography..genealogy and life in general and this and that…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Out of This World…

The prompt:  share a photo and make it look and feel like something out of this world. Feel free to interpret the theme as loosely as you see fit.

Could this be a walkway used by astronauts to get to another world !  That’s what it always looked like to me, especially after I got done photo shopping it.

Here’s the original picture which was taken at the Cooper Gristmill in Chester, NJ

I'm married, I have two daughters and two grandchildren and they all love MV. Enjoy my MV blog and contact me if I can answer any questions. This blog started out as strictly about Martha's Vineyard but over the years I've branched out to include other obsessions and interests. I enjoy photography and like sharing my photos here as well. Hope you enjoy :)

  2. Great edits on this one!

  3. Thank you, it’s always fun to play around with some photos 🙂

  4. Great editing, it does look like a portal (although I have never actually seen one)

  5. IT is gorgeous, I hope that is what it looks like when I am going to heaven, my husband is already there so I hope it was amazing for him ! just so ethereal, makes me want to interpret this in a quilt, would you let me use this idea? I am not artistic enough for it to look exactly like your photo, just the idea. thank you so much, it is profound.

    • Hi Melody… please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband. You definitely can interpret this photo into a quilt… and if you do (and I know it takes a long time) please let me know what you did. 🙂

  6. I love the editing you did, how you played with the image and how much more alive it seems. A vibrant entryway into another world.
