MV Obsession

My obsession with Martha's Vineyard.. phototography..genealogy and life in general and this and that…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Growth…

Prompt:  In this first week of the year, many people anticipate beginnings, changes, and opportunities for growth. Share with us an image that evokes this spirit of change and newness.

My first thought for growth…

But then I thought about the growth of the jigsaw puzzle my daughter and I just worked on (I did at least 15% )

An unassuming 1000 piece puzzle featuring take-offs on titles of popular books. It of course started with the first pieces and then grew and grew and grew and…

Behold… all done.

Just a few of the clever take offs on titles…

I'm married, I have two daughters and two grandchildren and they all love MV. Enjoy my MV blog and contact me if I can answer any questions. This blog started out as strictly about Martha's Vineyard but over the years I've branched out to include other obsessions and interests. I enjoy photography and like sharing my photos here as well. Hope you enjoy :)

  1. I got three puzzles for Christmas. I need to get started on. Nice job here.

  2. Thank you. Also good for snowy days which we’re having today in the northeast. 🙂

  3. Wow, what a puzzle! Happy Near Year! For some reason, my sister thinks I like puzzles. She gave me one last year and two this year – none of them I have started. This morning I was staring at the puzzles and thought of a friend who loves puzzles. At first I thought of just giving them to her but then I thought maybe I should do the puzzles with her at her house a couple hours at time. I’ll let you know if I go through with it. 🙂

  4. Great idea to do the puzzles with your friend, gives you incentive and time together. That’s why I like doing them with my daughter, she’s better at them than I am and encourages me to stick with them. Let me know what you do 🙂

  5. Love the puzzle! I love Stave puzzles but they are SO darn expensive.

  6. They are but they’re fun especially if they’re a gift 🙂
