I'm married, I have two daughters and two grandchildren and they all love MV. Enjoy my MV blog and contact me if I can answer any questions. This blog started out as strictly about Martha's Vineyard but over the years I've branched out to include other obsessions and interests. I enjoy photography and like sharing my photos here as well. Hope you enjoy :)

  1. I love it no matter what the season, but fall out there was especially beautiful. While we had mostly pines on either side of the West Chop Lighthouse “reservation” there were also some deciduous trees, maples and oaks and maybe ash trees and the leaves were spectacular. After I’d get home from school I’d take my bike and “make the chop circle” about five times to look at it all. By the time October would roll around I’d virtually have the whole of West Chop to myself; it felt like my private forest with the ocean almost always in view. Spectacular. I think I do miss it most in the fall. Fall was the beginning of a new school year and to me a time to make a new start, staring with riding the bike of course! Thanks for the posting my friend.
