My mother did these two counted cross stitches over 80 years ago.
Gay Head Lighthouse still had the lighthousekeepers house attached to it.

Only 4 lighthouses instead of 5 on the Vineyard map – do you know which one is missing?

My counted cross stitch of Gay Head lighthouse done in 2004.

My map done in 1993. Which lighthouse is missing on mine ?

(Edgartown lighthouse is missing on moms.. East Chop on mine)

I'm married, I have two daughters and two grandchildren and they all love MV.
Enjoy my MV blog and contact me if I can answer any questions.
This blog started out as strictly about Martha's Vineyard but over the years I've branched out to include other obsessions and interests.
I enjoy photography and like sharing my photos here as well. I'm also into genealogy and reading.
Hope you enjoy :)

Beautiful stitches! These are all so charming….have you hung them all together?

Do you know where I can find the lighthouses pattern? Our maybe you still have a copy? Im not having any luck finding it. My great grandfather was a light keeper at Gay Head (a very long time ago) ands I saw this hanging in a friend’s home ands fell in love. Sadly they don’t have the pattern either. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I don’t have the pattern anymore and the store on MV where I got it is long gone. So sorry.
