MV Obsession

My obsession with Martha's Vineyard.. phototography..genealogy and life in general and this and that…

Water, Water …

Of course there’s water everywhere, it’s an Island, that’s one of the things they do best, be surrounded by water.  In my humble and unbiased opinion, Martha’s Vineyard has it all as far as water is concerned.

The cliffs at Aquinnah (Gay Head) are surrounded by rocks and treacherous waters.  The clay from the cliffs washes into the water and creates a blend of unusual beauty.

Sunny or foggy, day or night … water, water everywhere.

I'm married, I have two daughters and two grandchildren and they all love MV. Enjoy my MV blog and contact me if I can answer any questions. This blog started out as strictly about Martha's Vineyard but over the years I've branched out to include other obsessions and interests. I enjoy photography and like sharing my photos here as well. Hope you enjoy :)

  1. Hmm… the wild of South Beach on a windy sunny warm evening where the waves are crashing.. one of our favorite evening beach strolls. (not a swim though, oh that undertow). We also love the long trail walk down from the upper parking lots at Aquinnah to the beach. I collect rocks there for my home garden, I plan to do some more of that this trip. Sitting down by the docks at Edgartown after dinner and a little stroll, with ice cream in hand… watching people come in from their bouyed boats for supper. … another favorite. I have fond memories of when my children were little.. often skipping stones with them out in front of the black dog after dinner.

  2. Favorite spot? I have so many! I haven’t been to the Vineyard in years, but the good memories stay with me and I love seeing your photos. Keep them coming!
