How To Make A Pie …

First go to a ceramic painting studio and choose a pie plate, there were only two pie plates so that decision was easy.  Not so easy was choosing colors. I liked a lot of them, but eventually I narrowed it down to three… purple, speckled green apple and then midnight blue for the rim.  (Click on pics to enlarge them)

A week later voila, finished pie plate.  Now to take it home and…

give it to my daughter Deb (I owed her a pie plate).  She worked her baking magic and we all agree the blueberry/strawberry pie was delicious.. and looks so pretty too.

And that is how, since I don’t bake, that I make a pie, or rather a pie plate.

I'm married, I have two daughters and two grandchildren and they all love MV. Enjoy my MV blog and contact me if I can answer any questions. This blog started out as strictly about Martha's Vineyard but over the years I've branched out to include other obsessions and interests. I enjoy photography and like sharing my photos here as well. Hope you enjoy :)

  1. Love this post! That is my kind of baking!!!

  2. Joan,

The pie plate is fab!–the blueberry strawberry pie— yum. yum! It looks particularly delicious in the plate with the great shade of green and blue edge–an eye-catcher!
