Matinee Day …

Recently my daughter Patty and I went to a matinee at the Shawnee Playhouse in Pennsylvania to see “The Last Of The Red Hot Lovers.”

The Neil Simon play was witty and fun and very well done.  We enjoyed the play a lot but were really, really impressed with the scenery.

Why?

Because her daughter, my granddaughter helped build and paint it.

It was a nice day doing something Patty and I rarely do but should try and do more often.  Anytime we can I”m sure we’ll attend plays Tiffany’s been working on.

I meant to get more pictures of the beautiful countryside but this is the only one I took.

I'm married, I have two daughters and two grandchildren and they all love MV. Enjoy my MV blog and contact me if I can answer any questions. This blog started out as strictly about Martha's Vineyard but over the years I've branched out to include other obsessions and interests. I enjoy photography and like sharing my photos here as well. Hope you enjoy :)

  1. How very cool! Beautiful set.

You will probably know the playhouse my parents used to bring us to in New Jersey, many fond memories..

The Papermill Playhouse! The last play I saw there was Shenandoah.

  2. You must have felt so proud to know that your grandaughter was part of a play that brings cheer to so many. What a nice way to work! May you HAVE to go to many more plays!
