MV Obsession

My obsession with Martha's Vineyard.. phototography..genealogy and life in general and this and that…

New Homes …

The Christmas decorations are finding new spots in our new home.  I’m enjoying finding just the right place for everything.

One of my favorite places to decorate in our old house was the dining room table.  I loved arranging the red bead, the shiny clear baubles, the red candle, and the crystal candlesticks on the mirrored runner down the center of the table.  In our new home there is no dining room table or mirrored runner anymore … but… I still have the red beads.  Whatever will I do with them?  I put the red candle in a cobalt blue vase and dropped the endless string of red beads into the vase and spilled some down the sides.  I like it.  I snipped the little wreaths that went around the candlesticks and put them on the staircase.

This guy is perfect on the mantel, just like he was in our old house.  By the way, wrapping him to move was not easy since he doesn’t come apart. This is what he looked like when I got done bubblewrapping and newpapering him.. in the Vineyard Gazette of course.

Ahhh..Santa and the puppies and kittens.  My daughter Patty painted this for her sister Deb ... CLICK HERE to read my post about it.

That’s what I did today.  The big project is yet to come !!

I'm married, I have two daughters and two grandchildren and they all love MV. Enjoy my MV blog and contact me if I can answer any questions. This blog started out as strictly about Martha's Vineyard but over the years I've branched out to include other obsessions and interests. I enjoy photography and like sharing my photos here as well. Hope you enjoy :)
