Hi, it’s Chappy … I’m visiting grams blog today.

Yesterday my mom (Chappysmom) gave me a bath and a haircut.  Even though Boykin Spaniels are supposed to be water dogs I just don’t like baths.  I like to be clean of course but the whole process is barely tolerable.

To top it off mom and gram insist on taking my picture when I’m all wet.  Turning my head doesn’t stop them, they think I’m cute from all sides.  To dry off I do ‘zoomies’ around the house but with all my fur it sometimes takes days hours to completely dry.

Sigh.

Just between us though I do feel cooler and yeah, cute.

Our town of Denville, NJ started its first farmers market about a month ago.  We drove over this morning to browse around.

Denville Farmers Market

Business looked good.

So did the food and flowers.

If you’re in or around Denville, NJ come and enjoy the farmers market every Sunday from 8:30am to 1pm.

It’s over 100 degrees today and everyone is heading to the beach.

This is the beautiful stash of yarn Deb got from Peace Fleece.

What is Peace Fleece you ask?  It’s a yarn company in Porter, Maine which was begun in 1986 by Peter Hagerty and his wife Marty Tracy.

“We began our company in 1986 in response to the cold war, believing that historic enemies could co-exist through trade.”

Ahhhhhhhh

This is ASUS, she took ill this past week with an unknown, and ultimately fatal virus.   Deb did everything she could to save her.  She bravely hung on for almost two weeks and then a few days ago her temperature spiked, her inner workings  kept freezing, she’d get hung up on certain things and wouldn’t let them go… she was acting possessed and crazed.  I only had ASUS two years, she was handed down to me by Deb when I somehow caused the previous computer she had handed down to me, to die.  I feel badly about that, Deb had her three years and kept her healthy and vital and I tended to ignore her updates and downloads and thus know I added to her demise.

Meet HP Pavilion, she is two years old.  Deb got her in June 2008 to replace the above mentioned ASUS she gave me. (CLICK HERE to read her post).  Isn’t she pretty.  And she’s healthy too and I vow never to be neglectful again, no matter how many times I have to annoy Deb to tell  me things just one (or 10) more times.

Thank you Deb… again.

While the temperatures in the northeast are in the 90′s and the humidity is too… think about sinking your feet in the snow covered sand on these wintery Vineyard beaches.  Ahhhhhh.
